Precious Miss Posey may just be the sweetest horse on the planet - she wants to be physically close to anyone and everyone and isn’t too shy to ask for what she wants. How someone could leave her standing in mud and manure so deep her legs and belly were completely coated is just beyond us. When we saw her at auction, we knew she had to be part of our family. After giving Posey some time to explore her new pasture and quench her thirst, we decided to give her a bath right away! Once we had gently cleaned her up, we discovered she was suffering from a chorioptic mite infestation, an extremely itchy and uncomfortable condition affecting the lower legs. She is now out of rehab, having gained some much needed weight and getting her skin cleared up, and is ready to find her forever home!
