Preacher

Preacher was rescued from an East Coast livestock auction, where countless horses just like him have been saved and brought to Gentle Giants. He came to us with a familiar story...overworked, underfed, neglected, in pain, and tossed away like trash. Shortly after his arrival he was thoroughly evaluated by our veterinarian, who made a surprising discovery about Preacher....he’s only ELEVEN years old! When most of the horses we see are already well into their twenties, that’s shockingly young! His lanky body was so frail, and the poor guy was suffering from not one, but two abscesses on both front feet! He has now completed his rehab, gaining some much needed weight and getting proper hoof care, and now he is ready for a home all his own!
