Wellington

Meet Wellington, a striking draft cross with a long and accomplished riding career under his belt. After years of being a dependable partner under saddle, Wellington is currently enjoying a well-deserved break as we give him time to rest and evaluate some recent behavior changes. He’s not ready to return to work just yet, but he’s in great hands and will be entering our training program soon.

In the meantime, this big-hearted boy is soaking up the simple pleasures of farm life; relaxing in the field, enjoying the company of his herd, and generally living his best "horse retirement vacation" life. Wellington is what we lovingly call an “extreme homebody” - he’s not one to rush over to the gate. But if you’re the kind of person who doesn’t mind taking a stroll to visit him in his favorite spot, he’ll reward you with happy nickers, deep sighs, and plenty of opportunities for scratches and snuggles.
